Problem & Research
Most remittance options are slow, expensive, or blocked due to crypto restrictions. I interviewed users who send money from abroad and others trying to withdraw locally. I also studied P2P behaviors on platforms like Binance and informal transfer models via WhatsApp.
UX Direction
I simplified the entire process into three core flows: deposit ETH, send fiat (via UID), and withdraw fiat. No clutter, no unnecessary steps. I added wallet connections, bank account storage, and clear feedback at every step to build trust with first-time users.
Ideation to Outcome
I started with rough sketches of how the ETH deposit and UID-based fiat transfer would work, then refined it into a flow that works with or without crypto-native knowledge. The visual design stayed minimal and direct buttons, balances, and actions always visible.
Result
BaseBridge now feels like a product built for its environment: fast, focused, and frictionless. It bypasses Nigeria’s crypto regulations, keeps users safe, and makes sending/withdrawing funds intuitive even for users who aren’t fully crypto-native.
